 PHOTOSHOP: COSPLAY PHOTOS

    Adobe Photoshop, otherwise known as Photoshop, is an image editing software created by Adobe Systems devoted to photo/image editing and effect creation. I'm a cosplayer who sometimes does photoshoots to capture my favorite characters. I use photoshop to brighten the skin and tone my cosplay photos. Actually, this app is very helpful for me as a cosplayer. "Why?" It's because sometimes when you are on the day of shooting, your face is not in good condition so this app is indispensable for beautiful shooting results.

COSPLAY PHOTOS: UNEDITED VS EDITED

    These are before and after photo editing in photoshop. I usually brighten my skin tone and add color tones for my photoshoots. The part that I focus on is the makeup of the eyes and smoothing the skin of the face and body. The editing process using photoshop, I think is very necessary to support the theme of the photoshoot (adding effects; smoke, light, etc.), so that the concept of this photo can be conveyed well to the audience.

    The photos above are a small part of the edits posted to social media and sometimes I receive tens to hundreds of photos to sort less and will then go through the editing process to photoshop. I often do the editing process independently, so the colors I produce will be slightly different from the photographer who captured my photo.
    I tend to edit my photos with white skin tones and then add bright lighting. Certainly not forgetting the aspect of the photo gesture in the photo as well as the selection of the right expression for each photo theme. Therefore, the photos that pass the selection are sometimes very few and I'm quite happy with some of my edits.
    I'm not a professional, sometimes the resulting color must be rechecked (e.g. send a photo to your phone to see if the resulting color is good enough or needs to be improved again), if this process has passed then it can continue to edit other photos from the same series.

MY PERSONAL OPINION ON PHOTOSHOP

    In today's digital age, the use of photoshop is natural. In the process to market the product, both in the form of print and electronic media can not be separated from the use of photoshop. A public figure, such as model, celebrity also actor are required to look attractive in front of the camera, so that in addition to personal care (skin care, doing sports and paying attention to food & drink consumption). Of course it can be supported with photo editing applications and also camera with good quality.
    If we draw a line with the hobby of a cosplayer. Editing applications such as photoshop is very helpful in realizing their favorite characters into the real world. With the increasingly sophisticated digital age, these cosplayers can sell merchendise (in the form of photos, videos and even related works) to the web, which is definitely undergoing the editing process before it is marketed to consumers. So, I think we as artists are definitely inseparable from the use of photo editing applications such as photoshop.
