 Indoor Theme Park in Bali

    In 2024, I return to work at the Indoor Theme Park and have the opportunity to make two costume designs for the Halloween 2024 show. Actually, this is a good opportunity to refresh my design skills. It's been a long time since I've been designing clothes for shows, so this time I'm lucky to get feedback on the design we're going to use.

    The theme carried for the Halloween theme this time is rather unique, so I got a lot of help from my friends in the wardrobe team. One of the designs carries local wisdom (Bali) and others with an international theme. So I designed two clothes, one used by men and the other by women. 

National Ghost

    Halloween is not far from scary and also mystical, so this time I had the opportunity to create a design with a Balinese ghost theme. I got a reference from Celuluk Bali and there is something different from Celuluk usually. Celuluk this time is played by a man and for the shape of the body and so on is adjusted to the gender, then there are also some of its characteristics with red, black and white colors called basang-basang which is located at the waist of this design.

    Another unique thing lies in the headdress to makeup and the protruding abdomen. I am very happy to have help from the Wardrobe team in the process of brainstorming concepts and ideas as well as the work of this costume, a special shout out for Ka Okta and also Yanadi.

International Ghost

    Unlike national ghosts, international ghosts this time needed little special attention. Especially on the clothes that will be used by this cast's show. The cast will perform the attractions on the balance wheel so we have to make sure that the materials and clothing design can support their performance on stage. I have to thank Ka Diva in the process of helping in the design process until the show takes place.

    To be honest, I felt unconfident in the design. From here I learned a lot about the process and system in the design assistance, so that it made it easier for me to work afterwards. Thankfully, everything went well until the end and the show ran successfully.

Trans Studio Bali 'Trick or Treat' - Halloween Show

    I am very grateful to all the wardrobe teams on duty. This is the first time I have been in charge of a show from the wardrobe division. Of course, there are still many things that I have to learn, as a person who has only joined for seven months, getting this opportunity that is quite draining is a good thing. Hopefully in the future I can give the best works again and quickly be able to absorb knowledge and new things from all shows.

 Cardcaptor Sakura

    Some time ago, I was marathon watching the Cardcaptor Sakura anime and have succeeded in realizing one of Sakura Kinomoto's cosplays well. At first, I thought of making a magic wand that Sakura used to fight the cards. I thought that one day I would make a Sakura dress with a different design, so making a cosplay wand now is a good choice to do.

    I made it with PVC pipe material that I had at home and in the connection I used light iron pipe so that it was easy to cut using a mini saw. For the head on the stick, I used eva foam material which was drawn in such a way, cut and also cut using a cutter and caulk using clay.

    Actually, I feel a bit sorry for making this with makeshift ingredients. I thought of making it with several materials such as silicone mold for this mass product later and resin. However, I was too afraid to spend a decent amount of money at that time, so in the end I felt that sometimes buying products in Chinese e-commerce felt more affordable than making my own. Sometimes regrets do come at the end, but I feel happy that I have tried to make my own wand.

    Next, I will share photos of half-finished clothes and also the final result. I changed the ribbon on this dress (at first the ribbon was short, but after looking at the details of the dress again, it turned out that the ribbon was long). Luckily I still have a little glitter red jacquard fabric in my fabric box, so this isn't a difficult thing to do. I also made hair ornaments, a big ribbon on the back of my shirt and also a choker.

    Next is the catalog or final result of making this costume set along with the wig. I do this without a deadline so there is no demand to be as fast as possible. Another nice thing is that I do this during the healing process of lymph node tuberculosis, so this is very helpful to fill my spare time.
